Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in leading a Vanilla Sky store location. The Assistant Manager partners with the Store Manager to achieve sales results by creating a positive team environment and running a client-focused business.

Leadership Responsibilities
• Models and teaches store associates to support a positive client-centric environment.
• Models and coaches effective Manager on Duty behaviors to maximize performance and productivity.

• Partners with Store Manager to create goals and development plans that support performance needs and career growth.
• Assists Store Manager with recruitment and new hire training
• Works with the Store Manager to assess the effectiveness of the team and provide the appropriate level of coaching performance feedback.
Selling & Client Service
• Exhibits a passion for delivering exceptional client service and inspires by example.
• Handles complex client situations in compliance with policy and procedures.
• Aids in monitoring daily, weekly and monthly sales goals of all associates and ensure quality selling and client service standards are met.
• Executes action plans to improve key performance indicators to maximize business.
• Drives sales on the floor and monitors selling, service and clienteling behaviors.
• Promotes community involvement to drive brand awareness and loyalty.
• Partners with Visual Merchandising to maintain visual standards and esthetic.
Daily Operations
Balances assigned Division of Responsibility with overall needs of the store by taking ownership and responsibility of any area of the business when necessary.
Ensures that the store is maintaining daily visual merchandising standards.
Works with Store Manager to maximize sales by ensuring an efficient and client-centric store operation.
Partners with Store Manager to oversee and execute timely completion of all daily and weekly routines, including but not limited to: opening and closing of the store; banking procedures; schedule compliance; productivity, store goals and weekly payroll projections; corporate driven communications.
Maintains selling floor, stockroom and cash bar with proper supplies, organization and cleanliness with consistency.
Assists in controlling payroll and controllable expenses.
Ensures loss prevention compliance in order to minimize loss and achieve shrink goals.
Qualifications
At least 1-3 years of retail experience
At least 6 months of management experience preferred
Luxury or contemporary experience preferred
Passion for customer service, styling and product
Demonstrated ability to drive sales
Ability to interact cooperatively and work as a team towards a common goal
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Keen sense of detail and highly organized
