Overview - The Countertop Store
The Showroom Consultant is responsible for delivering an exceptional in-showroom experience, guiding clients through the sales process, and supporting daily showroom operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to sales and client relationships.
Showroom Operations
- Partner with the Showroom Manager to support daily showroom functions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom environment
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned
Sales
- Greet and engage clients promptly upon arrival
- Deliver a positive, knowledgeable, and consultative sales experience
- Gather detailed project information (e.g., sinks, edge profiles, materials)
- Provide accurate pricing and recommend solutions aligned with client goals
- Meet or exceed sales goals set by the Showroom Manager and Vice President of Sales & Marketing
- Submit completed orders to the Vangura main office
- Proactively follow up on leads and inquiries
Client Relations
- Set and manage clear client expectations throughout the process
- Follow up with clients according to The Countertop Store procedures
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented attitude
- Demonstrate strong phone and communication skills
- Effectively utilize CRM tools to track and manage client interactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, high-end sales, or inside/outside sales environments with a focus on countertops or kitchen & bath products.
- Knowledge of renovation, remodeling, construction, or interior design processes enhances your ability to advise clients confidently.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations including discounts, measurements, and pricing strategies.
