DESCRIPTION:
Vanguard is seeking highly motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join its team. We are looking for a Water Meter Installer Supervisor for the Henrico, VA area. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company. · Conduct utility water meter services throughout assigned areas & responsible for submission of daily project paperwork.
· Safely and efficiently install the water meters accurately and associated equipment with various hand tools and manage your daily allotment of inventory
· Read & record data information accurately in a mobile hand-held device, basic computer skills are required
· Follow standard operating procedures and company policies
· Communicate with utility customers effectively and respectfully
· Use of company vehicle will be discussed.
· Receive and return utility meters, tools, equipment, and supplies each day
In this position, you will be responsible for installing water meters, maintaining inventory, submitting daily paperwork & weekly reports on time. This is a independent lead position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST HAVE PRIOR WATER METER, PLUMBING, PIPE-FITTING OR SIMILAR EXPERIENCE AND MUST SHOW ON RESUME WITH DETAIL
- Prior lead, supervisor or management experience
- Able to bend, stoop, walk constantly and lift 40 lbs.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone 90% of the time, while still being part of a local team.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble plumbing components
- Must be proficient with mobile applications, email, taking images & data entry e.g.
- Familiar with computers, Microsoft Office, printing, excel docs & pdf files e.g
- Must be able to work outdoors and withstand the regional, seasonal weather.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and dependable; Consistent attendance is imperative.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be drug-free, MUST pass employment background check, and have a clean driving record.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work independently.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
This is a Salary with piece rate position, wages are based on number of meters installed.
