Salary
Full-time position. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Highly qualified candidates may be considered for an appointment to an endowed professorship with additional compensation.
Assistant Professor: $60,595 to $81,501
Associate Professor: $70,676 to $95,190
Professor: $82,031 to $113,974
Placement at appropriate rank (e.g., Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and initial salary is dependent upon education, experience, and based on Vanguard's faculty compensation schedule. The upper range is reserved for candidates that demonstrate the highest level of proficiency within a particular rank. Vanguard University also offers a very competitive and generous benefits package.
Vanguard offers both tenure track and term faculty contracts; the type of contract offered will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications at the time of hire.

Essential Functions
- Provide strategic leadership for the graduate program.
- Provide operational management of program, overseeing enrollment, matriculation, student success, program completion, and student graduation.
- Oversee the continued development of the program curriculum in collaboration with university faculty and external subject matter experts.
- Chair meetings of Graduate Program Faculty.
- Administer University academic policy within the program.
- Oversee management of class scheduling, staffing and catalog content for graduate program, working collaboratively with Graduate Program Faculty and the Dean.
- Counsel and advise the Dean concerning any curricular matters within the program.
- Maintain a file of course syllabi for all courses offered in the last seven years in their programs.
- Supervise academic advising services for all students within the program.
- Process student grade appeals in accordance with the grade appeals policy.
- Coordinate regular course observations for all program faculty and assist the Dean with the faculty review process.
- In partnership with the Dean and the Provost, nurture the professional growth of Graduate Program Faculty and guide them to maximize their service to Vanguard University, while promoting collegiality within the Graduate Program.
- Collaborate with the Office of the Registrar, the Dean, and the Graduate Program Faculty to plan semester schedules. This planning will include approval of courses to be offered, staffing of all courses, scheduling of the courses, and ensuring proper method of delivery.
- In partnership with the Dean, assist in preparing budgetary proposals for the Provost.
- In keeping with the University's procedure for hiring faculty, the director will direct the process within the program.
- Teach at least twelve credits per year within the graduate program in Organizational Psychology.
- An earned doctorate in I-O Psychology or closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution
- Successful record of diverse experience in teaching and leadership within higher education
- Communication and interpersonal skills for promoting the program and university locally
- Consistent record of development and accomplishment as a professional educator
- Knowledge of current issues and legislation related to I-O Psychology
- Knowledge of research and methodology
- Record of successful university-level teaching
- Vibrant Christian faith and experience, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning
- Strong record of teamwork, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Successful experience of working with diverse student populations
- Experience building and administering online classes and/or programs
