Associate, Project Finance & Origination | High-Growth Distributed Generation Renewable Energy & Gas Platform
The Company
A well-capitalized (~$500m) distributed generation platform developing several energy technologies U.S. are expanding its origination and project finance team.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of financial models and commercial analysis for behind-the-meter and small front-of-the-meter projects. This role sits at the center of deal evaluation - turning raw utility data into clear, compelling proposals and helping move qualified opportunities to signed term sheets.
Expect broad visibility, investor interaction, and exposure to multiple technologies.
- Build and run project financial models, including sensitivities and commercial structuring.
- Translate interval data, tariffs, and program rules into client-ready proposals.
- Prepare pricing, commercial materials, and term-sheet support.
- Track NDAs, LOIs, interconnection details, and pipeline progress.
- Monitor state programs and summarize their deal impact.
- Engage with internal teams, customers, and investors to explain model outputs and assumptions.
Requirements
- 3 years in distributed generation energy, with strong financial modeling skills.
- Experience with behind-the-meter technologies.
- High Excel proficiency and comfort with tariff math, demand charges, and interval data.
- Strong ambition, communication, organized, and able to manage multiple workflows.
