We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused Account Specialist to support our regional growth in HVAC control systems (DDC/BAS), building automation, and low-voltage electrical installations.
This entry-level role is ideal for a high-potential individual who thrives on organization, clear communication, and taking ownership of processes that drive sales success. You will serve as a key coordinator between clients, Regional Business Unite Leader, and our centralized Estimating and Preconstruction team, helping move project opportunities forward efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
No prior construction experience is required. What matters most is that you bring a strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, and a professional demeanor that makes clients and teammates feel supported.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Pipeline Management & Data Ownership:
Support the accuracy and completeness of the regional project pipeline in the CRM and tracking tools. Ensure all opportunities reflect up-to-date status, win probability, client insights, and preconstruction notes so that the Account Manager and regional leadership can make timely, informed decisions.
Client Communication & Support
Deliver timely, professional communication to clients and internal stakeholders. Respond promptly to inquiries, coordinate information flow between teams, and ensure clients feel informed and well-supported throughout the preconstruction and bidding process.
Proposal & Preconstruction Coordination
Collaborating across the central Estimating team, Contracts Administration, and Marketing to ensure alignment on timelines and details, so every deliverable meets client expectations and reflects our standards.
Relationship & In-Person Engagement
Proactively assist in scheduling and coordinating client meetings, site visits, lunches, and events involving the Account Manager and regional leadership. Help strengthen client relationships and gather market feedback that keeps our team informed and competitive.
Process Excellence & Administrative Support
Maintain organized, accurate records of client interactions, pipeline updates, and project decisions. Support smooth handoffs of awarded projects to the Operations team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by flagging process gaps and sharing lessons learned.

Qualifications
- No prior experience required; we will train the right person
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional presence; comfortable making outbound calls and engaging with clients and senior stakeholders
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; ability to make clients and teammates feel heard and supported
- Demonstrated positive attitude, sense of urgency, and ownership mentality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the region for client meetings or site visits
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Any exposure to the construction, electrical, mechanical, or HVAC industry through coursework, internships, or prior work
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, pipeline tools, or basic project coordination
- Prior experience in a customer service, sales support, or administrative role
- Base salary: $50,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience, relevant skills, and overall expertise.
