Logistics Specialist - Export Customer Service

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Transportation Management: Direct, coordinate, plan, and oversee all transportation tasks and operations, ensuring smooth execution of logistics processes.
- LCL (Less than Container Load): Manage LCL bookings by consolidating shipments efficiently and ensuring timely delivery. Collaborate with CFS (Container Freight Stations) to facilitate smooth loading and unloading of cargo.
- FCL (Full Container Load): Facilitate FCL bookings, confirming container availability and optimizing shipment schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Supplier and Service Provider Collaboration: Work closely with shipping lines, NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers), trucking companies, and warehouses to ensure all bookings are executed on time and in accordance with customer specifications.
- Communication Management: Maintain effective time management across multiple communication channels with suppliers, shippers, and overseas agents. Ensure accurate information is relayed promptly to all relevant parties.
- Import Processes: Manage import processes by coordinating with customs for clearance, ensuring all documentation is in order for timely delivery to customers.
- Export Documentation: Execute all required export documentation for multiple accounts within a time-sensitive environment.
- BOLs (Bills of Lading): Prepare and verify BOLs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Invoices and Certificates: Generate necessary invoices and certificates required for shipping and customs clearance.
- AES Filings: File AES (Automated Export System) documentation as necessary for compliance with U.S. export regulations.
- Booking Confirmation and Tracking: Confirm all bookings with customers and steamship lines, continuously track shipments, and provide updates as needed. Notify customers immediately of any deviations from booked shipments.
- Quote Management: Obtain quotes through our proprietary online portal and deliver them to customers quickly and efficiently.
- Data Maintenance: Maintain accurate records in the operations system and other designated locations, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Internal and External Communication: Ensure timely and effective communication with all parties involved, including local facilities, other NACA offices, and overseas agents. Provide proactive updates to customers regarding their shipments and any changes to expected delivery timelines.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
- International shipping documentation & customer service
- Attention to detail and excellent oral and written skills required, customer service experience required;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Excellent writing skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills including prioritization and planning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
