Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons with their daily tasks to keep projects moving forward.
- Load, unload, and organize materials and supplies needed for construction activities.
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely under supervision, including shovels, hammers, drills, and wheelbarrows.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding or barricades, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify hazards or issues that could impact safety or progress.
- Support site cleanup efforts at the end of each workday to maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good communication skills to understand instructions clearly and work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not mandatory—motivated beginners are encouraged to apply!
