Duties

• Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, grinding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and custom finishes using conventional spray guns or airless paint sprayers for a flawless finish.
• Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and buffing equipment to repair dents, scratches, and imperfections on vehicle bodies.
• Perform auto body repairs including welding, panel replacement, and structural adjustments to restore vehicles to factory specifications.
• Conduct surface inspections and perform detailing tasks such as polishing and buffing to achieve a high-gloss finish.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols including respiratory protection when handling fumes or dust.
• Assist with auto glass replacement or repair as needed during the refinishing process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in auto painting within a dealership or auto body shop environment is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, and auto body repair equipment.
• Familiarity with surface preparation masking techniques and automotive surface refinishing processes.
• Ability to operate spray guns for conventional spraying and airless paint application efficiently.
• Knowledge of automotive body repair procedures including welding, auto restoration, and auto estimating is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and perform detailed finishing work.
• Automotive mechanic experience or background in vehicle maintenance is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $26.22 - $40.00 per hour
