🌱 We’re Hiring: Propagation Supervisor (Cannabis Industry)
Are you passionate about plant health, propagation, and leading teams in a dynamic greenhouse environment? Our client, a vertically integrated cannabis company, is looking for a Propagation Supervisor to oversee the care of mothers, clones, and young plants through the early stages of cultivation. This role is critical to ensuring healthy plants, preventing pests and pathogens, and setting the foundation for a successful grow cycle.
What You’ll Do:
✔ Supervise and coordinate propagation staff, ensuring sterile practices and safe operations
✔ Manage mother plants, prepare seasonal backup mothers, and oversee the production of clones
✔ Inspect plants for pests, viruses, and mutations using microscopes and spot checks
✔ Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems as needed
✔ Track and report clone production, transfers, and inventory in compliance software
✔ Oversee plant labeling, data collection, and audit readiness
✔ Monitor employee productivity, provide feedback, and ensure a safe, efficient workplace
✔ Support administrative tasks such as reporting, scheduling, and timekeeping
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 1–2 years of greenhouse experience (required)
🔹 2–3 years of supervisory experience
🔹 Must be 21 with a clean DMV record (some travel required)
🔹 Strong knowledge of insects (beneficial and harmful), viruses, and plant health
🔹 Ability to operate forklifts and microscopes
🔹 Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
🔹 Computer literacy (Microsoft Office proficiency required)
🔹 Flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call availability
🔹 Ability to work in greenhouse conditions (humidity, varying temps, moisture) and lift/move 15–50 lbs regularly
This role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
