Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Toolmaker to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition to full-time role based on performance and business needs. Duties

• Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy according to schematics and GD&T standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation of tooling designs, modifications, maintenance logs, and schematics for future reference.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and optimize machining processes.
• Conduct regular inspections of tools using precision measuring instruments to ensure longevity and performance.
• Support assembly of tooling components with hand tools and fabrication equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Continuously improve tooling processes by applying mechanical knowledge, math skills, and manufacturing best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker or in a similar manufacturing role with a strong background in machining and fabrication.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control of tooling parts.
• Ability to operate precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other gauges accurately.
• Work with a tolerance of /- .0002
• Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of schematics, electrical systems related to machinery, and fabrication techniques.
• Strong math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.
• Familiarity with assembly procedures using hand tools and fabrication equipment while maintaining safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail to troubleshoot tooling issues effectively.
