Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of common areas, offices, restrooms, and hallways using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct janitorial duties such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
- Assist with floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to preserve flooring quality
- Support custodial tasks related to industrial cleaning projects or specialized facility maintenance as needed
- Handle basic facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing fixtures, and minor repairs
- Assist with residential painting projects or touch-ups around the premises to enhance appearance and safety
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred
- Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and waxing is desirable
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance practices is a plus
- Proven ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Familiarity with basic painting or minor repair work is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role
