We are a boutique hotel seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager. This is a management role, helping to oversee all aspects of the hotel and restaurant's operation, working under and reporting to the General Manager.
Job Description:
Front Desk/ Guest Services Operations:
- Supervise front desk staff and ensure excellent customer service.
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and check-ins/check-outs.
- Maintain accurate records and manage billing processes.
- Work with hotel team to establish strategies to increase the revenue of rooms and sales
- Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis to ensure proper rate positioning is competitive
- Continually monitor all travel related websites to ensure competitiveness in both availability and price
Restaurant Management:
- Assist in daily restaurant operations, including staff management and inventory control.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure high-quality food and service.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements as needed.
Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility.
- Create engaging content for various platforms to attract and retain customers.
- Analyze social media metrics to optimize performance.
Advertising:
- Assist in creating and managing advertising campaigns to promote hotel services and events.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design promotional materials.
- Track advertising effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in hotel management or a similar role is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and marketing tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong desire to work directly with the public
- Able to multi-task & maintain a calm demeanor
- Familiar with the Santa Fe, NM market, i.e. slow season, market trends, local events
- Experience in Hotel Administration, Hotel Revenue Management required
