We are seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer and Team Lead to help expand and elevate our mechanical engineering practice in our Atlanta, GA office. This role offers both immediate leadership responsibility and long-term career growth within a stable, forward-thinking organization.
What You’ll Lead and Deliver
- Provide senior-level technical leadership for the design and development of complex HVAC systems, including mission critical environments and high-performance commercial buildings.
- Lead the full lifecycle of HVAC design—concept, calculations, criteria development, system selection, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Shape high-performance solutions for air and hydronic distribution, central utility plants, and integrated building management systems.
- Oversee engineering quality and technical development throughout all design phases, ensuring deliverables meet company standards and best engineering practices.
- Guide design teams in Revit workflows, offering direction, mentorship, and QA support.
- Conduct site visits, prepare field reports, and collaborate directly with contractors and stakeholders during construction.
- Work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary partners to deliver coordinated, efficient, and innovative HVAC solutions.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10 years of HVAC system design experience for high-performance or technically complex building projects.
- Subject matter expertise in mission critical, central utilities, or large-scale commercial systems is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, managing design processes, and driving technical excellence.
- Commitment to sustainable, high-efficiency building design; LEED accreditation preferred.
- Proficiency with design and coordination tools including Revit, MS Office, and cloud collaboration platforms.
- Strong communication, client-facing, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative leadership style.
