Job Summary
Vanderman Place is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and customer-focused Dietary Aide to join our Dietary Services team. The Dietary Aide plays an essential role in providing high-quality dining services to our residents by assisting with meal preparation, tray service, dining room operations, sanitation, and kitchen organization. Our team is dedicated to creating a positive dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble resident meal trays according to physician orders and dietary restrictions.
- Deliver and collect meal trays in a timely and courteous manner.
- Assist with serving meals in the dining room and provide excellent customer service to residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and food preparation equipment.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Stock food and supplies and assist with inventory rotation following FIFO practices.
- Follow all infection control, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation and portioning as directed by the Dietary Manager or Cook.
- Report resident concerns or changes in appetite to the appropriate supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with nursing and dietary staff to ensure residents receive quality nutritional care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds throughout the shift.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
- Must successfully complete required background screening and meet all applicable employment requirements.
