What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Supervisor position at Vanderheyden, Inc.?
Direct Care Supervisors the Sr. House Manager in supervising a supportive adult apartment program by supervising staff and facilitating individuals receiving services to acquire independence skills and self-esteem needed to establish and achieve personal goals. Full-time, awake position. Evening position available in Rensselaer or Day position at the Troy location.
- Develops, Maintains and utilizes a sound working knowledge of regulations of governing agency.
- Sound working knowledge of Vanderheyden policies, practices and systems.
- Knowledge of Vanderheyden mission.
- Working knowledge of management practice.
- Adheres to the DSP Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet the OPWDD Core Competency standards and ability to observe and provide feedback to others on performance of OPWDD Core
- Competency standard within OPWDD programs.
- Successfully completes all required trainings.
- Maintains current with all required trainings.
- Safely transports individuals as assigned per level of supervision required.
- Provides direct support to individuals as needed and necessary.
Required Education, Knowledge And Skills
1 year experience as a Direct Support Professional or associate's degree preferably in the Human Service field preferably with a similar population.
Pay: $22.00 an hour based on education and experience.
