The term professional (Research Assistant 0.5 FTE) is part of Vanderbilt Center for Simulation, Computational-modeling, and AI-integrated Learning for Engineering Systems (SCALES) at Vanderbilt University, which focuses on developing interdisciplinary research and graduate-education programs. This position will be responsible for the development of mathematical theory and its computed implementation for the analysis of stability of shell-based TPMS structures.

Key Functions and Expected Performance:
- Responsible for the development of mathematical theory and its computed implementation for the analysis of stability of shell-based TPMS structures.
- Report on their progress on a weekly basis
- Take part in the writing of journal papers and development of research presentations.
- Occasional presentation of research at conferences and program reviews
- Assist Prof. Bazilevs with the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses.
Supervisory Relationships:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibility. This position reports administratively and functionally to the Director of SCALES.
Education and Certifications
- Master of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is necessary
Experience and Skills:
- HPC Programming experience is necessary
