Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Private Investments, Investment Managers, and Investment Analysts to source and meet with prospective private investment managers globally.
- Conduct due diligence on traditional and alternative investments, authoring manager due diligence reports as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends and capital market research related to private investments, providing relevant data and commentary.
- Network with industry professionals to enhance the investment process.
- Coordinate strategy-specific, risk, operational, and legal due diligence with internal groups.
- Contribute to the enhancement of OoI's manager database, updating information and cross-referencing details.
- Maintain qualitative and quantitative manager information in OoI's databases.
- Analyze industry trends, capital flows, valuations, and conditions impacting global capital markets.
- Assist in communicating private investment portfolio exposures for total endowment risk assessment.
- Prepare communications for the Board of Trust Investment Committee.
- Develop and implement quantitative tools for risk analysis and asset allocation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Relationships
This position serves as a mentor to guide and support investment analysts and interns, reporting administratively and functionally to the Head of Private Investments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Master's degree in Business Administration is preferred.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred.
- The Investment Manager is required to work full-time from our Nashville office.
- Candidates should have between three to seven years of pertinent work experience.
- Deep understanding of investment principles, including navigating long-term investment horizons.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment tools for portfolio optimization.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex financial data and trends.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying investment strategies and outcomes.
