Duties
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency in a quick service or fast food environment
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha and Micros to process transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling products to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and restocking supplies to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately during shifts, including balancing registers at the end of each shift
- Support food preparation tasks in the kitchen or café area as needed, demonstrating culinary experience and attention to detail
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service operations within quick service or fast food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate register balancing
- Experience working in a restaurant or café environment with a focus on serving customers quickly and professionally
- Ability to work effectively in a retail or grocery store setting when required
