Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure peak performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and refrigeration lines as needed.
- Repair appliances and mechanical components associated with property maintenance.
- Operate a vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between sites.
- Work with ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized HVAC/R technologies with safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members on HVAC design projects to optimize system efficiency.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for all field activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields.
- Strong knowledge of construction principles related to HVAC installation and repair.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration systems, plumbing, boilers, and appliance repair.
- Experience working with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and ammonia refrigeration setups.
- Familiarity with field service procedures and property maintenance practices.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating vehicles.
- Ability to work safely in environments involving electrical components, refrigerants, and mechanical equipment.
