What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dual Service GI & Infusion APC position at Vancouver Clinic?

At Vancouver Clinic, caring for people is our first priority and the driving force behind everything we do. New clinicians will find a collegial, supportive, and caring environment of healthcare professionals committed to our patients and community. Our multispecialty clinic is physician owned, which prioritizes the highest quality patient care and a strong work-life balance.

We're looking for dynamic, patient-centered Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) to join our team in a unique shared role that supports both our Gastroenterology and Infusion service lines. This position is full-time (1.0 FTE) with a 4-day work week. You'll have the opportunity to work across two high-performing clinical teams, enhancing patient experiences, and supporting seamless transitions across specialties. You'll join one other APC in Infusion and a moderate sized GI practice with 12 physicians and 6 APCs.

GI Service Duties

  • Support GI clinicians in the evaluation, treatment, and follow up of patients with digestive health disorders.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, review diagnostic results, and assist with care planning.
  • 13 telehealth and in-person visits per full day, some in-basket support, and urgent referral review and triage
  • Work schedule includes 2.5 days per week in GI from 7:00 - 5:00 pm (Tuesday and Thursday and ½-day Wednesday)

Infusion Service Duties

  • Provide clinical support and monitoring for patients receiving infusion therapies including assessing, managing, and triaging acute medication reactions (hypersensitivity, intolerance, severe allergic and anaphylactic).
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and serve as a leader to infusion nurses to ensure safe and accurate treatment delivery.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Work schedule includes 1.5 days per week (7:00 - 5:00 pm on Friday and 1/2-day Wednesday)

The ideal candidate values interdisciplinary teamwork and enjoys caring for patients with chronic and complex conditions. A minimum of 2 years' experience in GI or other procedure-based specialty would be a bonus. Comfort with infusion therapies including biologics, IV medications, and chronic disease management would be a plus.
