Part-Time Veterinary Assistant – Join a Heart-Led Mobile Vet Team!
Location: Ocala/Villages Area
Hours: Start at 2 days/week, room to grow to 3–4 days/week
Days: Starting shadowing Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-8 hours per day, Future shadowing on Truck with Doctor 7:30 am to 6:30 PM Fridays after 1 month Training period. Some remote phone work possible in the future.
Pay: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience

Responsibilities
- Assist the veterinarian during mobile visits (handling, preparation, cleaning, and setup)
- Comfort and support pets and clients with kindness and empathy
- Organize equipment, maintain supplies, and manage records
- Participate in phone coverage, scheduling, and client follow-up (some remote work possible after training)
- Keep the mobile unit clean, stocked, and travel-ready between appointments
- Contribute to a team culture that values learning, collaboration, and compassion
What We’re Looking For

Preferred Skills (or Will Learn On-the-Job)
- Safe and low-stress animal handling
- Equipment cleaning and sterilization (autoclave, dental, laser, etc.)
- Basic computer and phone communication
- Attention to detail and organization
- Client communication and empathy
- Multitasking in a mobile, fast-changing setting
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and handle pets of all sizes
- Comfortable working hands-on with animals in client homes.
- Able to handle cleaning agents and medical waste safely (per OSHA standards)
- Background check may be required
