Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial cement mixer trucks and heavy construction machinery in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols.
- Deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites, ensuring proper placement and handling during pouring and finishing processes.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and paving equipment, including screeds, loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and asphalt paving machinery.
- Assist with the operation of paving equipment such as screeds and concrete pumps to achieve precise finishes on various surfaces.
- Support site activities by handling rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete finishing tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations and site-specific procedures to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and team members.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, inspections, maintenance activities, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial vehicles required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with concrete mixing, pumping, finishing, and asphalt paving processes.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations including DOT standards and construction site safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping related to construction projects.
- Prior experience working on civil infrastructure projects involving paving, rebar installation, or concrete forming is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous.
