Job Title: Site Safety Officer-Night Shift
Location(Onsite): Ellendale, MD Night Shift 7p-7a
Employment Type: Ongoing Contract (Possible Temp-to-Hire)
Position Summary
The Site Safety Officer serves as the primary safety resource on designated job sites, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and other applicable safety standards. This individual will collaborate directly with worksite leaders, subcontractors, and project managers to identify hazards, deliver trainings, perform audits, and reinforce a zero-incident culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce and communicate client’s safety policies, job site rules, and expectations with all employees and subcontractors.
- Conduct site-specific safety orientations for new workers, including subcontractors, in both English and Russian (as needed).
- Facilitate hazard assessments, pre-task plans (PTPs), and job hazard analyses (JHAs).
- Perform routine and unannounced safety audits to ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards.
- Document and report all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions in accordance with Myriad360’s Hazard Reporting and Incident Review procedures.
- Lead or assist with investigations using the Myriad360 Accident Investigation Form and root cause analysis methods.
- Coordinate with the Director of Integration Services for any exceptions involving energized work or critical safety decisions.
- Verify proper use of PPE, fall protection systems, lockout/tagout, confined space entry protocols, and other critical safety controls.
- Maintain site safety documentation including SDSs, daily reports, inspection logs, and safety data tracking tools.
- Support the upkeep of job site safety equipment including AEDs, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and first aid kits.
- Foster a team-based safety culture grounded in empathy, ownership, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant field safety experience in construction, telecommunications, infrastructure, or electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910; familiarity with ANSI, NFPA 70E, and ASTM safety standards.
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (or willing to obtain before hire).
- Current OSHA 500, OSHA 510, or STSC certification (or willing to obtain before hire).
- Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Proficient in writing reports and presenting safety information clearly and confidently.
- Ability to travel regionally as needed and work in field conditions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- CHST or other BCSP-recognized credential (or working toward certification).
- Able to communicate in English and Russian.
- Experience supporting multi-trade construction projects with multiple subcontractors.
- Familiarity with safety management software systems.
- Ability to lead safety toolbox talks and conduct safety training without reliance on digital tools.

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
