Job Summary
Execute light repairs to wings, fuselages, control surfaces and other parts of Special Light Sport Aircraft (SLSA) under the guidance of Quality Assurance Inspectors. Uses a variety of hand and power tools to repair and replace damaged or mis-assembled parts from partially assembled aircraft components prior to delivery of parts for aircraft completion.
This is an on-site full-time, hourly, direct labor position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Execute light repairs to wings, fuselages, control surfaces and other parts of Special Light Sport Aircraft (SLSA) under the guidance of Quality Assurance Inspectors. Uses a variety of hand and power tools to repair and replace damaged or mis-assembled parts from partially assembled aircraft components prior to delivery of parts for aircraft completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with the production team to ensure a steady flow of materials are available for the Aircraft Assembly Division (AAD) of Van’s Aircraft.
- Repairs typically include replacing of nonconforming rivets, replacing damaged aircraft outer skins and occasional replacement of internal structural components.
- Work is directed by Quality Assurance Inspectors and signed off by the inspectors upon completion.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools such as air operating drills, rivet guns, polishing tools, etc. safely.
- Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively and execute tasks under direction.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience in autobody repair or metal working preferred.
- Experience in aerospace/aviation repairs preferred. A passion for aviation is beneficial.
