Job Title: Substitute Teacher – Van Meter, Iowa (2025–26 School Year)
Compensation: $165/day
Requirements: Meets licensure requirements of the Department of Education
Job Highlights:

Work as-needed in PK–12 classrooms across the district

Accept assignments as available through Frontline, AEA, or district platform

Support consistent instruction, maintain lesson plans, and positively manage classroom behavior
- Follows/plans a program of study that, as much as possible meets the needs, interests and abilities of students
- Creates a climate that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of stated goals and objectives
- Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for implementation of the school district student achievement goals
- Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the substitute teaching position
- Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning
- Demonstrates competence in classroom management
