Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Removal Technician to ensure safe and accessible outdoor environments during winter months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and the use of various hand tools and power equipment. This role involves clearing snow from driveways, walkways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas to maintain safety and accessibility for clients. The Snow Removal Technician will also assist with general landscaping and maintenance tasks as needed, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Operate snow plowing equipment, including snow blowers, plows, and salt spreaders to clear snow from designated areas
- Use hand tools and power tools for snow removal and minor landscaping tasks
- Perform lawn care, mowing, tree trimming, and landscape maintenance during off-season periods
- Assist with irrigation system checks, gardening, and horticultural activities to maintain healthy outdoor environments
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as excavators and other machinery used in landscape or construction projects
- Maintain safety standards by recognizing hazards related to snow removal and landscape work
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscape repairs, hardscape work, and tree care as needed
- Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and well-organized after completing tasks
Requirements
- Prior experience with snow plowing, landscaping, or related outdoor maintenance work preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, excavators, power tools, and hand tools necessary for various tasks
- Knowledge of horticulture, garden care, tree trimming, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Experience with construction or landscape maintenance is beneficial
- Valid driver’s license preferred for operating larger equipment or transporting materials
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
