Van Horn's Reconditioning Center of Plymouth has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Technician/Auto Mechanic.
Van Horn processes the majority of our used cars at our state-of-the-art reconditioning facility in Plymouth. We get the vehicles ready and they are sent to our lots for sale. Our reconditioning center is the pipeline of our sales department.
We are hiring for all skill levels. Whether you’re an experienced Used Car Tech or an entry level tech who wants new skills and career advancement, this is the opportunity for you!
The work consists of getting used cars ready for sales including minor repairs, tires, brakes, alignments and light diagnostic.
We offer flat rate or hourly compensation plan based on skill level and ambition. We have the volume that results on a lot of shop hours and pay.
Shift hours:
7 A.M. - 4 P.M. Monday - Fridays

What you'll do:
- Diagnosis, repair, and replacement of automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, etc.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborate with our service advisors and other team members to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that every vehicle leaves our shop in optimal condition.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technologies and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required License / Certifications:
- Valid / Active Driver’s license
Education and Experience:
- Technical College Automotive Diploma preferred
- ASE Certification/Manufacturer Training preferred
- Two or more years’ automotive experience
