Title Quality Control Technician
Department QUALITY CONTROL
Reports to: QA/QC Manager and/or Plant Manager on location
Job Summary:
Ensure a safe working environment and oversee daily quality control testing utilizing the Van Eaton Ready Mix Mobile Laboratory at various Wind Farm locations. Must maintain a professional appearance, communication, and work environment and be able to work with others, including non-Van Eaton Ready Mix personnel. Endeavor to create and enforce a positive culture of safety. Ensure compliance with all appropriate governmental regulations as they apply to the mobile lab and materials testing. Ensure compliance to the Van Eaton Ready Mix QC/QA policies as applied to the assigned area.
Essential Functions:
• Side-by-side testing at Wind Farm locations both in the field and utilizing the Van Eaton Ready Mix Mobile Lab to ensure onsite testing company of record is obtaining accurate results.
• Maintenance and cleaning of the Van Eaton Ready Mix Mobile Lab.
• Ensure that all testing is being performed in strict accordance with the applicable ASTM and/or ACI procedures governing the testing of record.
• Thorough documentation and record keeping of your testing as well as the test results and methods being used by the onsite testing of record company, including database, photograph, test report and any other record keeping necessary.
• Ensure strict compliance with employment, management, and other company policies, procedures, and principles.
• Moving / Towing of the Van Eaton Ready Mix Mobile Lab from jobsite to jobsite.
• Maintain confidentiality with privileged information.
• Present favorable company image to customers and employees.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• This is a Van Eaton Ready Mix “safety sensitive” position.

Qualifications Continued:
1. Knowledge of ASTM test methods being used and ACI Grade 1 field testing certification. If not currently certified, must be capable of getting certified. Van Eaton Ready Mix will provide for cost of certification for first attempt provided certification is passed.
2. Computer usage including Excel for simple reporting and data recording and email.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One to two years of related experience and/or a combination of both. ACI Grade 1 certification or equivalent preferred.
