What are the responsibilities and job description for the FedEx Ground Delivery Driver position at VAN DYKE PD INC?

We are a Contracted Service Provider for FedEx Ground. We have been in business for
21 years in Northern Wisconsin.
We are looking for dependable, responsible, positive individuals who understand the notion of hard work, provide excellent customer service, and believe that safety always comes first.
Requirements -
- Must be 21 years old
- Successful applicants will need to successfully pass a criminal and driving background check as well as a federal DOT drug screen. Convictions are not an absolute bar to employment. Convictions will be considered as to whether they are substantially related to the position.
- Limited understanding of an iPad
- Understanding that in this job there are some short days, as well as long days. In addition to this, there are two variables we cannot control. These being: dispatch (or start) time, and when the end of the day will be. This is a salaried position. This is a career in which you enter with this knowledge.
- CDL NOT required. No prior driving experience is required but is preferred.

Summary -
- Van Dyke PD is under contract to do a vast variety of areas 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday). Just some of the areas include Park Falls, Ironwood, Ontonagon, Minocqua and surrounding areas. The specific route we are hiring for will be discussed during the interview. We will train you in all areas as necessary to perform at a safe, responsible pace.
- Commercial driving is preferred, however, NOT a requirement. We believe hiring good people comes first, and teaching them to be delivery drivers comes second. Attitude, willingness to work hard, dependability, and safe driving practices are paramount to how we run our business.
