What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor position at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing?
- Provides direction and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, demonstrates professional judgment, uses problem solving techniques and time-management principles, and delegates appropriately
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills to develop a rapport with clients, their families, and health team members and to ensure the fulfillment of requirements for legal documentation and reimbursement
- Assure quality of care for patients by communicating with certified nurse aids spending quality time guiding and educating them. Exchanging information and providing special considerations when caring for the patients. Including precautions, restrictions, feeding techniques, medication concerns, skin protocols, blood thinners and monitoring pain.
- Collaborate with a team of registered nurses to supervise clinical operations of evening, nights, and weekends
- Provide leadership for the highest quality care and services to residents of the facility
Requirements/Qualifications:
Current New York State RN licensure
ACLS and/or CHPN preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent Customer Service skills
