Residential Construction Superintendent

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• You will oversee on-site activities for residential building projects, including project scheduling, managing customer and supplier relations, enforcing safety protocols, reviewing documents, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining equipment, and performing necessary construction work; all with the goal of safeguarding the company's interests.
• Project management, including updating and maintaining schedules, communicating with subcontractors, and maintaining project logs and documentation.
• Foster positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, team members, and project stakeholders to enhance project cohesion.
• Proactively ensure site safety, enforcing safety protocols, leading safety meetings, and reporting incidents promptly.
• Complete construction documents, punch lists and pre-installation checklists, interpret plans and specifications, review project constructability, and maintain 'as-built' records.
• Supervise construction trades and subcontractors, coordinate quality control, manage material orders, inspections, punch list, and maintain an organized job site and office.
• Ensure equipment and vehicle functionality, oversee power tool inventory, and schedule regular maintenance.
• Manage and perform various construction work, including framing walls, roofs, insulation and vapor barrier installation, operating tools, installing fixtures, etc., all as needed to complete the project on time and on budget.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
• 3-5 years relevant construction experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in understanding building plans and specifications.
• Experience managing and scheduling subcontractors and trades.
• Knowledgeable in safety standards and their enforcement; OSHA certification preferred.
• Proven communication, negotiation, critical thinking and time management skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in math and reading comprehension and basic computer skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• Someone who is willing to work in all types of weather, who isn’t afraid to get to work hard and get dirty, uses common sense and treats people with dignity and respect.
