What You’ll Do As a Construction Carpenter
- Understand and interpret plans and specifications.
- Plan and prepare daily work plans.
- Perform carpentry work.
- Assist fellow team members in demolition activities needed for the project.
- Take responsibility to clean up your work areas daily and make sure the jobsite is free of debris and a safe environment to work in for all trades working on site.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in all phases of commercial or residential construction and/or maintenance or an associate’s degree in construction management.
- Proficient in commercial carpentry, including rough and finish work, cabinet, trim, door, and window installation with commercial hardware.
- Basic understanding of construction mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to operate construction equipment like forklifts, loaders, and skid steers.
- Knowledgeable about construction materials, methods, arithmetic, and geometry.
