Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle maintenance and safety standards are met, addressing mechanical issues promptly when necessary
- Transport passengers along designated routes or on-demand trips, providing timely and courteous service
- Maintain accurate logs of trips and mileage in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members using clear communication skills to coordinate routes and address any issues
- Ensure the cleanliness and overall good condition of the bus to promote a safe and welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus operation (e.g., passenger and school bus endorsement) or willing to go through training to attain license
- Proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles involving motor coach or school bus operations
- Minor mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor maintenance issues
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle diverse passenger needs courteously and efficiently
