Job Summary
Oversee the daily operations, programming, and strategic planning for the FAC, managing staff, budgets, and technical aspects like lighting and sound. Key duties include scheduling events for school groups and external clients, ensuring safety and compliance, coordinating with other school departments, and promoting programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and usage of all performance spaces, coordinating with the facilities and custodial staff to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Supervise the technical aspects of productions, including lighting, sound, staging, and audio-video operations to ensure high-quality performances.
- Regularly inspect all FAC equipment, maintain an accurate inventory of all FAC equipment, and recommend replacement as needed.
- Work closely with academic departments, student organizations, external vendors, and community partners to develop and execute programs and events.
- Assist other members of the Pointer Media/FAC staff throughout the school year as needed.
- Train designated staff on the use of equipment such as sound and lighting equipment.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events.
- Other duties as assigned by building principals or district administrators.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in technical theater, theater production, events coordinator, etc.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Must be 21 years of age or older)
- Stage carpentry skills preferred
- Proficient technology skills related to technical production equipment, set design, facility management, and communication platforms
- Excellent communication skills
Physical Requirements

- Bend, stoop, reach, squat, climb, work overhead
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- In district and out of district travel

Reports to: Principal/Assistant Principal
Contract: 240 days is a full contract for this position. The 25-26 employment contract will be prorated based on days worked.
Salary : $50,803 - $59,712
