Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot robotic welding systems to ensure consistent, high-quality welds.
- Program or adjust welding parameters for new and repeat jobs.
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and welding symbols to confirm tolerances, joint designs, and production sequences.
- Conduct first-piece inspections and use precision measuring tools to validate weld quality.
- Perform finishing operations such as grinding and deburring to meet visual and dimensional standards.
- Support quality audits by preparing samples, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Operate additional equipment such as presses, lasers, and machine shop tools as required.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and extend tooling life.
- 3 years of robotic welding experience with a solid understanding of MIG/TIG processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and GD&T with accuracy.
- Proficiency in setting fixtures, verifying part numbers, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced production environment.
- Capability to complete documentation and system entries with accuracy.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work extended periods standing.
- Experience programming Fanuc robotic welding systems.
- Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing standards (AS9100/ISO 9001).
- AWS certification in MIG/TIG welding.
- Demonstrated history of process improvement and quality compliance in a manufacturing setting.
