Job Summary
The Expeditor plays a key role in the presentation and delivery of dishes coming out of the kitchen to our guests. At the guidance of the Executive Chef, the Expeditor is responsible for ensuring a proper flow of orders, adding any special request condiments, final look of plate, and delivery to guests as directed.
Primary Responsibilities
· Perform all duties according to Van Acre systems and protocols.
· Learn and understand the dinner menu, developing the ability to answer general questions about food and beverage items.
· Ensure orders are organized by priority and delivered to the correct guests
· Keep up with a high volume of orders.
· Inspects dishes for accuracy and presentation.
· Follow up promptly on guest requests or questions, immediately reporting any complaints or concerns to a supervisor.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Assist with cleaning of work areas, chinaware and/or glassware throughout the shift.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Experience in fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred
· Reliable with strong work ethic, customer service skills, attention to detail, problem solving and verbal and written communication
· Professional appearance that complies with dress code
· Ability to work independently and as a team member, collaborating as necessary to ensure the client needs are met.
· Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with peers, supervisors, executives, and guests.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to stand for long periods as well as walk, bend and stoop
· Ability to push, pull, carry and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout the shift
