What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salesperson position at Valyou?
Valyou is hiring sales reps to sell a SaaS product to small businesses across the country. Commission-only with strong residual income, and one of you will earn the Sales Director role building and managing a nationwide team of 50 reps.
The role:
Sell our product to small businesses nationwide (restaurants, retail, health and wellness, service providers). Short sales cycle, $100-250/month price points, real product that businesses actually want.
You'll work warm leads from our system. The product demos well and closes fast when the pitch is dialed in.
Compensation (rep level):
- 50% commission on first month's subscription — paid the following Friday
- 10% monthly residual on every active account you've sold — paid first Friday of the month
- No cap. The more you close, the more you make. The longer they stay, the more you make.
- This is a contractor (1099) role — you control your hours, your hustle, your income
What that looks like in real numbers:
Based on a standard 5-day work week: 3 sales/day = $70K in Year 1 (and grows every month after as residuals stack). 5 sales/day = $120K in Year 1, climbing well into multiples of that as your book of business compounds.
If you want to work 6 or 7 days, work nights, or grind extra hours, that's your call — there's no schedule, no quota ceiling, and no one capping your income. The harder you work, the more you make.
The Sales Director path:
We're building this sales org with a clear leadership track. The rep who proves they can close, recruit, train, and lead other reps becomes Sales Director — managing a nationwide team of 50 reps with override commission on every sale the team closes, equity in the company, and a long-term wealth-building seat.
This isn't a "maybe someday" promise. It's the explicit plan. If you're hungry for that, say so up front.
Who We're looking for:
- Closers. People who can pick up the phone, run a demo, and ask for the sale
- Hungry. You'd rather have uncapped commission than a base salary
- Coachable. We have a process that works — execute it, then improve it
- Disciplined. Commission-only requires you to manage your own day
- Bonus: leadership instincts, recruiting/training experience, willingness to step up
Who We're not looking for:
- Anyone needing a base salary
- "Account executives" used to long enterprise cycles
- Tire kickers who want to "see how it goes"
