Duties
- Develop and implement detailed lesson plans covering core cosmetology topics such as hair styling, coloring, nail care, esthetic laser treatments, facial techniques, makeup application, barbering, and body waxing.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction that combines theoretical knowledge with practical demonstrations to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Supervise hands-on training sessions in salon environments, ensuring students adhere to safety standards and industry best practices.
- Evaluate student progress through assessments, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of performance.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cosmetology techniques such as trigger point therapy, dermabrasion, eyelash extensions, hair extensions, and aesthetic treatments to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Mentor students on professional development skills including client communication, hygiene practices, and business etiquette.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to coordinate class schedules, workshops, and certification opportunities for students.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of cosmetology disciplines including hair styling, coloring, threading, nail care, facials, makeup application, barbering, body waxing, and aesthetic laser treatments.
- Strong classroom experience with the ability to teach adult learners effectively through lesson planning and interactive instruction.
- Proficiency in advanced techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, dermabrasion, and eyelash extensions.
- Excellent communication skills to motivate students and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Ability to evaluate student performance accurately and provide tailored guidance for improvement.
- Up-to-date understanding of industry standards for safety and sanitation practices across all cosmetology services.
- Certification or extensive experience in cosmetology-related fields is highly preferred to ensure credibility and expert guidance.
