Oil Change Technician

Job Description:

Valvoline Express Oil Change, located in Staten Island, is a high volume express oil change that is focused on giving our customers the best-in-class service and a sparkling clean car.

We are looking for full-time/ part time express oil change technicians. There are opportunities for advancement for people with great work ethics and even better attitudes. The right person could be a future leader in our growing company.

Starting pay is $17-18 per hour plus weekly paid commissions. The ideal work schedule is 30 to 40 hours of daytime availability including our busiest days, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Duties:

· Greet and interact directly with our customers, providing friendly service

· Possess strong product knowledge and effectively communicate it to customers

· Perform express oil change maintenance including safety inspections according to manufacturer standards

· Communicate to customer vehicle repair and maintenance recommendations

· Deliver an exceptional customer experience by handling the vehicles with care and complying with all Car Wash and Oil Change safety policies and procedures

· Able to lift 50 pounds

· Additional duties include maintaining shop tools/ equipment/ inventory, assisting with property maintenance, snow and ice removal, and overall site appearance

Tuition Assistance Program:

· Earn up to $2,500 per year

· Required to submit passing grades (C or above)

This is a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for upbeat team players. Applicants who do well in this position have prior experience in express oil change, tire shops, auto dealers and automotive service shops.
