What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oil Change Technician position at Valvoline Express Care?
Valvoline Express Care in Attleboro is a very busy oil change shop. We perform over 3000 oil changes a month. Our main business is fluid, filter, and wiper changes. We don't do repairs. Tthe customer stays in their car while we work, creating a fast oil change. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a quick lube setting, not just changing oil in a mechanic shop. Customer service skills are a plus, as you will interact with the customers.
3 positions are in the shop:
Topside tech - responsible for adding the oil, changing the oil filter (if topside), topping off fluids, air filter check/replacement, and tire pressure check.
Bottomside tech - responsible for draining the oil, changing the oil filter, and detaching and re-attaching the vehicle's splash shield (if applicable).
CSR - responsible for collecting the customer's info, verifying vehicle info, helping customer choose the right oil, and selling products/services.
The ideal candidate could be trained in all 3 positions, but not necessary for employment. You should expect to be on your feet for long periods of time and able to move freely.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
