What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at VALVE & ACTUATION SERVICES LLC?
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and managing current accounts, as well as attaining new prospects and customers to grow business. In addition to being responsible for all accounts inside of their territory lines and/or assigned accounts.
This position covers South Georgia and North Florida territory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish contact with potential customers and prospects
- Develop and Maintain relationships with existing customers
- Schedule meetings with prospects to find potential problems and issues where we can be of service to them.
- Perform product demonstrations
- Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
- Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
- Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic
- Generate and submit sales reports to management
Position Requirements:
- Demonstrate ability to meet sales objectives
- Impeccable interpersonal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the industry and industry trends
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and consumer psychology
- Proficiency with the word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
- Ability and willingness to travel for trade shows, demonstrations and client meetings
- Previous industrial sales experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Bending, stooping, walking and ability to stand for 75% of shift.
