We areseeking a Direct Support Professionals (DSP) or Support Service Professional (SSP) to join our team and work for a family in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. We are looking for an experienced caregiver to fill this role.
The right candidate will provide compassionate direct care to a 16-year-old male with intellectual disabilities and non-verbal autism, while assisting him to participate in an everyday life, in his home and the community. We are looking for someone reliable, caring, patient, fun and energetic.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) or Support Service Professionals (SSPs) ensure the health and safety of program participants (clients) by providing varying levels of personal care within both community and home settings including cooking, light cleaning and laundry, transportation, community engagement, dispensing medications, supporting goals, and accurate documentation of care. This position is responsible for assisting in the development of independent living skills, implementing behavior strategies, promoting self-advocacy and aims to prepare the client to become more independent in their home and community.
Job Details Include:
· Full-time up to 40 hours a week during holidays, school breaks, and over the summer or Part-time from 11 to 18 hours during the school year.
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Must able and willing to swim in the client’s community swimming pool in order to maintain water safety for the client
· Must have your own reliable transportation vehicle, a valid PA Driver’s License, car insurance, valid car registration, and an up-to-date State car inspection
· Paid mileage reimbursement will be provided when taking the client on community outings
· Candidate will need to have the ability to pass all background checks
· Preferred experience with Autism/special needs and associated skills
· Training will be provided
· Paid from $28 to $36 per hour depending on experience
