Values Into Action, a leader in person-centered, community-focused services, is seeking an Enhanced Direct Support Professional (Support Partner) to provide one-to-one support to two adults living in the same Philadelphia area.
Values Into Action supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities one person at a time, on their own terms, and exclusively in their own homes and communities.
This is one position with combined hours, which offers consistency and a full-time schedule!
Schedule
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Every other weekend: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Two evenings per week: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (flexible)
Position Overview
As a Support Partner, you will provide individualized, relationship-based support to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the people supported. Supports take place in the home and community and are guided by each person’s preferences, routines, and goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one support in the home and community
- Offering verbal prompting, encouragement, and assistance with daily routines
- Supporting community participation and meaningful activities
- Assisting with medical needs, including medication administration and blood sugar monitoring (training provided)
- Promoting safety, health, and personal choice
- Supporting routine while responding calmly and thoughtfully to change
Ideal Candidates Will:
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Be calm, observant, and reliable
- Value person-centered support and respectful relationships
- Be comfortable providing close supervision and medical support
- Work collaboratively with families and support teams
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or Gerontology OR
- Be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

have a current NADD certification (National Association for the Dually Diagnosed)
- Candidates who are willing to become NADD certified will also be considered
Candidates must also:
- be 18 years of age or older
- possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- have access to a registered, insured, and inspected vehicle for use during work hours
