Job Title : QA Data Test Lead
Location: Cincinnati, OH - 2-day onsite (Tuesday & Thursday)

Responsibilities
- Design and implement data testing strategies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across systems.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for ETL and data validation.
- Perform source-to-target validation by analyzing mappings and verifying data across source systems, staging, and target layers.
- Validate data transformations, aggregations, and business rule implementations within ETL pipelines.
- Conduct data reconciliation and migration testing across legacy and modern data platforms.
- Analyze data anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with data engineers and developers to resolve issues.
- Test and validate ETL workflows, ensuring correct data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Develop and maintain automated data testing frameworks using SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
- Implement data quality checks and controls aligned with key metrics (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness).
- Perform regression testing to ensure system changes do not impact existing data pipelines.
- Validate BI reports and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) against source data.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, processes, and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to support sprint deliverables and continuous integration efforts.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10–12 years of experience in QA with a strong focus on ETL/data testing.
- Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data validation techniques.
- Experience in data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
- Proficiency in test automation for data validation using Python, SQL, or similar tools.
- Experience with data platforms and tools such as:
- Snowflake,Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, IDMC
- Familiarity with big data environments and handling large-scale datasets.
- Hands-on experience with BI testing (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
- Prior experience in P&C insurance domain (Policy, Claims, Reinsurance).
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, HP ALM, etc.).
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Understanding data quality frameworks and metrics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Experience working in Agile environments with onsite-offshore collaboration models.
Good to Have:
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, ICP or Agile certifications are desirable.
- Experience in Marklogic testing and API testing
