Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all store operations, including sales, inventory control, and staff management.
- Lead and supervise team members to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Manage employee orientation, training & development programs to enhance team performance.
- Handle recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and selecting qualified candidates.
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering procedures, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and security.
- Maintain inventory management through stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost sales and store visibility.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks to support store financial health.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication skills, and leadership among staff members.
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or similar environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, sales management, merchandising, and inventory management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and customer service excellence.
- Proficient with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail software tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high standards of store operations.
- Experience in grocery or general retail stores is desirable but not required; a strong background in retail sales is essential.
- Knowledge of wireless sales or marketing strategies can be advantageous for certain locations.
