What You Will Do School Culture and Climate * Lead the development and implementation of a positive, inclusive, and values-based school culture aligned to the mission and vision of Value Schools. * Establish and maintain clear, equitable systems for student behavior, discipline, recognition and restorative interventions that promote consistency, accountability, belonging and student growth. * Support and model restorative practices, trauma-informed approaches, socio-emotional learning, and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS). * Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families to foster a safe, supportive, and engaging school environment. * Utilize behavior, attendance, and climate data to monitor school culture and implement responsive strategies that drive continuous improvement. * Coordinate and oversee school-wide culture initiatives, student incentives, assemblies, celebrations, and recognition programs. * Support student supervision systems and ensure a safe, orderly, and positive campus environment during all school activities. Operations and Systems Management * Oversee the effective execution of day-to-day school operations to ensure systems run efficiently in support of student learning and school-wide effectiveness. * Lead operational systems related to attendance, enrollment, student supervision, campus safety, scheduling, facilities coordination, arrival and dismissal procedures, and emergency preparedness. * Oversee and monitor attendance systems and intervention strategies aimed at improving student attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism * Support student recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, and retention efforts in collaboration with school leadership and operations teams. * Serves as the owner of the school information system and plans and executes key inputs for attendance, enrollment, contact information, and other key data, including transfer and exit data. * Partner with the Principal and school leadership team to develop and refine systems, procedures, and internal processes that support operational excellence and organizational alignment. * Coordinate school-wide operational logistics for events, testing, student activities, and other campus programs. Compliance and Student Services * Support compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal requirements, including California Education Code, student record confidentiality requirements, mandated reporting laws, and charter school operational requirements. * Ensure school systems and procedures align with the approved charter petition, organizational policies, and authorizer expectations. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student behavior, attendance, interventions, safety drills, and compliance reporting. * Participate in and support SST, MTSS, attendance review, Section 504, and other student support processes as assigned. * Assist with implementation and monitoring of school safety procedures, emergency drills, crisis response protocols, and campus supervision systems. * Collaborate with staff and families to support student wellness, intervention planning, and access to appropriate supports and services. Leadership and Team Collaboration * Collaborate with the Principal and school leadership team to align culture and operational systems with instructional priorities and organizational goals. * Supervise and support campus culture, operations, and non-instructional staff through clear expectations, coaching, accountability, and ongoing development. * Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented, and student-centered leadership culture. * Partner with teachers and staff to ensure consistency in student expectations, behavior systems, and school-wide procedures. Family and Community Engagement * Establish and sustain strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders to support student success and a positive school culture. * Ensure clear, consistent, and responsive communication with families regarding school policies, expectations, attendance, behavior, and student support matters. * Support and facilitate family engagement opportunities aligned to school priorities and community needs. * Build relationships with community organizations and service providers to connect students and families with resources and support services. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, graduate degree strongly preferred. * Certificated school-based or teaching experience preferred. * PPS credential, teaching credential, Admin credential preferred. * 3 years of experience in school leadership, student culture, operations, or related educational roles. * Demonstrated ability to lead systems, manage operations, and support a positive school culture. * Strong organizational, communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. * Experience with restorative practices, PBIS, trauma-informed practices, or student support systems preferred. * Charter school experience preferred but not required.
