Location: Remote (must reside within the Anchorage Bowl area)
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

We are part of Raney Investments, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations that support our continued success.
Position Overview:
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will oversee all accounting functions for Value Liquor and related entities. This includes daily bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and supporting leadership with accurate, timely financial information. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bi-weekly payroll processing
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll tax filings and payroll-related compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and management summaries
- Manage bank and credit card reconciliations and vendor management
- Maintain budgets and provide financial insights to the General Manager
- Prepare supporting documentation for annual tax filings
- Collaborate with external accountants or auditors as needed
Operational Support
- Monitor and manage store-related financial activity in coordination with management
- Oversee cash handling procedures and daily deposits
- Maintain accurate inventory and cost tracking in accounting systems
- Support leadership with data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience, including payroll
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Excel
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must not have other active clients (dedicated position)
- A non-compete agreement will be required upon hire
Preferred:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Experience with retail or multi-entity bookkeeping
- Familiarity with inventory-based businesses or the alcohol industry

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize effectively
