What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Team Lead position at Value City Furniture?

To that purpose, we are committed to providing our customers with an easy and fun furniture shopping experience. The Delivery team is critical in ensuring we meet that goal. This person is responsible for executing a satisfying delivery experience in our customers’ homes. The Delivery team is the last touch point our customers have with our company, which directly impacts our business.
Some of the functions the Delivery team will perform:
· Embodies our values: Serve Others and Own It
· Checks in drive teams at the end of the day
· Oversees customer pick up associates
· Drives customer loyalty, as the last point of contact with our customers
· Acts in a professional and courteous manner at all times, represents the company in a positive light
· Processes returns from delivery
The ideal candidate will have, among other skills and abilities:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Ability to follow safety guidelines
· At least 21 years of age
· Willing to work at least 45 hours a week
· Proven record of delivering great customer service
· Can perform continuous lifting and maneuvering of heavy furniture
· Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and team members
· Track record of serving others and putting team goals first
· Owners mindset; takes ownership over everything within scope of responsibility
· Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems
· Adaptability; flexible to shifting priorities and a changing environment
· Desire to continuously improve
Shift is 11-7 Tues through Friday and 7-3:30 on Saturday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
