Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care needs including bathing grooming dressing and hygiene
- Provide mobility support range of motion exercises and safe ambulation
- Prepare meals and offer nutritional support as instructed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe home environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Document services accurately and report any changes in condition
- Follow individualized care plans and agency procedures
Requirements
- Valid NY State HHA or PCA certification
- Recent physical and PPD or QuantiFERON
- CPR and First Aid preferred
- Two professional or personal references
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills and a caring dependable personality
Preferred
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Experience with dementia care or long term clients
